The University Archive reading room is open to the public Tuesday-Friday 10.00-12.00 and 13.00-16.45 by appointment. If you wish to carry out an extended period of research on our collections (i.e. more than 4 days) please get in touch as early as possible, as extended opening may be possible with enough notice. Please note we usually recommend at least 2 weeks’ notice in advance of an appointment.

Researchers are welcome to take photos with a mobile device or camera for personal use only. You will be asked to sign a Copyright Declaration Form.

We are happy to answer family history enquiries. Please note that the surviving records of the University of Westminster and its predecessor bodies are incomplete, and therefore it may not be possible to verify staff employment details or student attendance.
